Toolbar seems to be a standard feature of any software GUI. Most toolbars are in shape of a horizontal row of images or icons. There are however a number of software applications that display toolbar buttons in a vertical column. Each icon is used to perform certain software tasks or functions.
Toolbars are no longer limited to web-based applications. New styles of toolbars are being extensively used on mobile applications as well. This is one of the areas that promises a lot of opportunity for designers.
Today’s freebie is a toolbar PSD I have designed. This bar features three buttons – Edit, Delete, and Settings. These function buttons can have an active or inactive state. The Edit button has been shown in its active/selected form.
You can download the PSD, change the color scheme, and add any number of function buttons to this toolbar. I hope this PSD file provides you with some really handy tools to design an application toolbar.
